With this new version, you no longer need to download the ZIP file from the Blackmagic Design website. The script does it automatically.

Before importing the video I converted it with ffmpeg so it is encoded with mpeg4 in a mov file. For the audio I didn't change it but since Davinci Resolve displays the volume on the right, I think it could read the audio. It might be a pulseaudio problem (Davinci can't communicate with it). I will try to convert audio and see what happens.

@Paragoumba,what kind of video did you load? what kind of audio is encoded in the media container? The free version is limited on what audio it can import and use. I know when I record video on my phone and import into Davinci-Resolve to edit, I need to convert the video and audio with ffmpeg:
ffmpeg -i '$fle' -c:v prores_ks -vf 'scale=1280:720,fps=24000/1001,format=yuv422p' -b:v 110M -profile:v 3 -c:a pcm_s24le '../working/$temp.mov'

I installed this package and all works out of the box except sound. When I play the preview the green volume bars show that there is sound but I can't hear anything. I found on the Internet that pulseaudio-alsa might fix the problem but it doesn't. The issue comes from Davinci because it works on VLC. Is there a known fix?

The latest free version I grabbed is DaVinci_Resolve_16.1_Linux.zip which won't install for some reason. The file was in my downloads directory, which failed to find the file, and I also copied it the the /var/pamac-build-DJ9/davinci-resolve directory, and nothing. It was insisting on 16.0. ?

I actually get this error:
/opt/resolve/bin/resolve: error while loading shared libraries: libcudart.so.10.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I've already installed cuda-10.1.243-1 package and exported LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/cuda/lib64 but it's no use
